Paade Mode is honoured to be presenting its FW1718 Collection World Is Round during the 26th RIGA FASHION WEEK taking place at the end of March.
During the twelve years of its existence, RIGA FASHION WEEК has established itself as the leading event in the fashion industry not only in Latvia, but also throughout in North- eastern Europe, each year discovering new talented Latvian designers, whose collections after time become in demand also internationally and Paade is very proud to participate in showcasing Latvian design in fashion, particularly children’s wear.
Paade Mode FW1718 collection “World is Round” seeks inspiration from the depths of the winter woods, cultural and architectural legacy in conjunction with Gertrude Stein’s minimalist and modernist aesthetics in children’s literature. The collection imagines a world that is magic in its simplicity, ease and straightforward nature.
Paade Mode keeps its classic and traditional forms in silhouettes and mixes them with daring, edgy prints, colour combinations and contrasting details thus creating timeless, contemporary and design-led premium quality garments. This season the brand has chosen a more muted, wintery colour palette and refreshes it with lush prints and texture. Earthy tones mix with pops of brights and metallics. Liberty fabrics, softest Portugese flannel cottons, velvet and silk are mixed with textures of finest Japanese merino wool, Italian Alpaca, mohair and jacquard adding that special hand-crafted quality and legacy. Colour blocking and attention to detail remains a signature look for the brand. Custom design embroidery and jacquard knitwear patterns are key to this season’s look.
This season the brand introduces a limited edition collaboration with artist Brigita Stroda whose handcrafted crowns carry that quality and story to be handed over from generation to generation.
Paade Mode catwalk will take place on April 1st in Radisson Blu Latvia Hotel.
SS17 collection SUN DAZE brings brightness, lightness and enjoyment to those hot, summer days when the flowers are in bloom, insects hum in the meadows, the air is filled with warmth and life is easy and free. Sun and daze. The designers have sought inspiration from the microscopic and delicate details of petals, pollen and plants in combination with the saturated and bold colours that spring and summer bring in various forms of blossoming flowers.
Paade Mode keeps its classic forms in silhouettes and mixes them with daring prints, colour combinations and contrasting details. This season the brand has chosen quirky Liberty fabrics in linen and cotton paired with eye popping colours and minute dots. Brights mix with pastels giving a wide variety of choice to mix and match combinations with. Colour blocking remains a signature look for the brand. Tulle, jacquard and summer knits introduce a little bit of texture while lightest cotton/silk mixes breathe in air and softness.
The new Spring/Summer collection brings freshness, weightlessness and brightness through classic, romantic tendencies in combination with modern form and attention to detail. Tender touches are added by play of embroidery, textures of fabrics and patterns of knits.
